South Ruislip Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at SouthRuislip@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Violence Against Women and Girls - Bradfield road has had a congregation of males looking for work at the location. The males congregating at the location are foreign nationals and there have been reports of them making women feel intimidated at the location due to the way they behave. There have also been reports of the males apparently littering and urinating at the location. This is a long term ongoing issue that the team have been monitoring.

Issued 03 July 2025

Team are carrying out numerous high Viz and plain clothes patrol in the area in an effort to combat this issues highlighted. Joint operations with immigration officers are also conducted of a frequent basis.

Actioned 03 July 2025

The Old Dairy is subjected to anti-social behaviour whereby individuals attend the car park to meet and take part in ASB activities such as playing loud music and revving their vehicle engines. There have been reports from the residents living nearby reporting issues at the location. The team have been working with Workman security on site to disrupt and deter this ASB activity. The team are carrying out intelligence based patrols and dealing with individuals as and when they come across them at the location. The team are also constantly engaging with local residents and businesses in the area to build better intelligence to allow them to target individuals causing issues at the location.

Issued 03 July 2025

Officers are dealing with vehicle Anti-Social Behaviour , general Anti-Social Behaviour and drug related crime through joint work with Workman security on site at the location. Officers are implementing Anti-Social Behaviour warnings, PND's, Community resolutions and arresting and interviewing individuals where necessary. The team are pro-actively patrolling the location carrying out stop and search's where there are grounds to do so.

Actioned 03 July 2025

Theft from Motor Vehicle crime offences have been taking place at Royal crescent and within the local vicinity. Vehicles are being targeted due to valuables being left in vehicles and vehicles not be left secure.

Issued 03 July 2025

The team have been carrying out targeted foot and mobile patrols at the location and have also arranged and conducted street briefings to keep the local community better informed and provide them with crime prevention advice.

Actioned 03 July 2025

Shoplifting - The team have identified stores such as Sainsbury's, Boots Pharmacy, Greggs, Asda and Tesco being targeted for shoplifting on the ward. It appears that the shoplifters operate in groups and at times attend on mass to commit shoplifting offences from the stores so that security officers have difficulty in detaining them and recovering store goods.

Issued 03 July 2025

Pro-active shoplifting Operations are now in place in order to identify prolific shoplifters attending the ward and committing offences. Once the offenders are identified, the team are doing their best to try and secure Criminal Behaviour Orders to issue to the offenders at court so they are deterred from attending the stores going forward. High Visibility Foot and Mobile patrols remain in place to provide reassurance and to deter shoplifting offences.
