Hanger Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Violence related priority - VIOLENCE AND VAWG HANGER LANE GYRATORY TRANSPORT HUBS AND SURROUNDING ENVIRONS INCLUDING ASB ON TWYFORD ABBEY ROAD Reference - PMP/62317/24 Issued 30 April 2026	Targeted patrols, joined working with park guard, Escalation with other MPS units. Intel monitoring and proactive measures Targeted patrols, enhanced crime prevention delivery, and of wider MPS resources to assist with enforcement, disruption and target hardening. S - conducted plain clothes patrols and high vis patrols in the area of Hanger Lane Gyratory and Twyford Abbey Road M - increased number of patrols and high visibility presence A - outcome of detecting more crime and reducing number of offences relating to Violence in this area Actions - Regularly patrolled the hotspot area, proactively used stop and search, Community protection warnings and notices. Results collated and fed back to the WP at meeting. Numerous resources were deployed on plain clothed proactive operations resulting in disruption and a fall Violence related ASB in the area. Also proactive use of CPWs to prevent street drinking, begging specifically around the Gyratory systems and disrupting residents and commuters. Actioned 30 June 2026
MOTOR VEHICLE OFFENCES north of the ward - Specific locality related issues surrounding theft from and theft of motor vehicle related offences, suspicious activity Reference - PMP/8169/26 Issued 30 April 2026	Targeted patrols, enhanced crime prevention delivery, and of wider MPS resources to assist with enforcement, disruption and target hardening. S - conducted plain clothes patrols and high vis patrols in the evening ward wide M - increased number of patrols in the evening and high visibility presence, linked in with Intel teams to gain MO and pattern of offending A - outcome of detecting more crime and reducing number of offences relating to vehicles in this area R - this issue is relevant after a number of reports and WP members highlighting the area as a Theft hotspot T - To be reviewed again at se interval of 3 months Actions - Regularly patrolled the hotspot area, proactively used stop and search, Community protection warnings and notices. Results collated and fed back to the WP at meeting. Numerous resources were deployed on plain clothed proactive operations resulting in disruption and a fall in Motor Vehicle offences.
