West Hill

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

West Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at WestHill@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Motor Vehicle Crime -There have been a small number of reported incidents of theft of motor vehicle and theft from motor vehicle in Glen Albyn Road and the surrounding area.

Issued 13 January 2026

We will conduct high visibility patrols within the area at the known times of offending to maximise our potential to catch offenders. We will utilise tactics such as stop and search where there is reasonable, sufficient and proportionate grounds to do so. We will work with neighouring teams across Wandsworth and Merton to identify potential linked offences. We continue to hold drop in surgeries whereby crime prevention advice is provided.

Actioned 29 April 2026

Burglary
To reduce the number of burglaries including shed burglaries across the ward. Due to the high volume of residential buildings on the ward, there continues to be potential for burglaries with shed, garages and outbuildings being targeted.

Issued 13 January 2026

Burglary across the borough has reduced significantly over the last 18 months with Wandworth achieving the highest percentage reduction in London. This has been achieved through proactive patrolling, crime data analysis, intelligence sharing and predictive crime mapping. We will continue with these tactics to achieve further reductions and deliver on our pledges to lower crime.
Crime prevention advice is provided by means of home visits, cocooning and use of new online platform Met Engage.

Actioned 29 April 2026

Anti-social Behaviour
Reduce the number of ASB incidents particularly but not limited to -;

Shouting, swearing and fighting

Intimidation of neighbours and others through threats or actual violence

Harassment, including racial harassment or sectarian aggression.

Verbal abuse

Abusive behaviour aimed at causing distress or fear to certain people, for example, elderly or disabled people

Animal nuisance - dangerous dogs

Vandalism, property damage and graffiti

Issued 13 January 2026

High visibilty patrols.

Issuing of ASB warnings. Considering Community Protection Warnings (CPW), Community Protection Notices (CPN) or Criminal Behavioural Orders (CBO) for repeat offenders.

Working with the Local Council and their ASB team to prevent offences related to ASB.
