Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

St Margaret's & North Twickenham  current ward priorities:

Robberies of personal property targeting school-age children - Richmond College area .

Dedicated ward officers conducting  regular targeted patrols in uniform and plain clothes. Patrol areas are chosen using police data which has recorded previous crimes . Time, school dismissal  has been proven to be a contributor to the offence, the ward officers continually asses the available crime data to  utilise their time as efficiently as possible.

Theft , Off & Theft From  Motor vehicle .

Theft of high value motor vehicles has risen in recent months   .

Using crime data the ward officers have been able to identify  specific areas which have suffered from a high number of offences , the ward officers will be targeting those streets  with uniformed and plain cloth patrols ,

Anti Social Behaviour . - St Margaret's Road & Moormead Park

Dedicated ward officers  believe early intervention is the key, officers will use crime data to identify those areas which have a high number of recorded incidents , the ward officers work with the local authority  Park Guard , partnership working offers the option of both enforcement and guidance.

A spike in Anti Social Behaviour is seen in the summer months.

The word cloud below represents the issues raised by residents through their Local Matters survey. We take this into consideration along with discussions with stakeholders, ward panel meetings and conversations with the public when setting our key priorities
