Coombe Vale

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Coombe Vale Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at CoombeVale@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Burglary

Issued 13 January 2026

Dedicated ward officers conduct regular targeted patrols in uniform and mixture of proactive plain clothes operations. Regular targeted patrols of the parks. Engaging with park users and Neighbourhood watches in the area. ASB warning notices given out to offenders and dealing with any other offences being committed at the time. Working with partnership agencies to reduce ASB and crime in the area. Cocooning has taken place and additional patrols are being implemented in preparation for the run up to Christmas.

Dangerous Driving and Speeding

Issued 13 January 2026

Incidents of dangerous driving and speeding will be tackled by enhanced high visibility patrols and the use of Speedwatch operations, involving the use of speed cameras operated by trained police staff. Local residents are encouraged to report incidents and vehicles involved in this type of driving behaviour to help the local officers target their response. The ward PCSO has recently been trained in the implementation of Speedwatch so there will be more operations conducted going forward.

Dangerous Dogs

Issued 13 January 2026

Dedicated Ward Officers and PCSOs will work with partners including the local authority and animal organisations to tackle the issue of dangerous dogs through education and awareness of good practice for dog owners and members of the community that may interact with dogs. At the same time, we will robustly enforce legislation relating to dangerous dogs, primarily the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. The aim of this will be to reduce the number of incidents involving dogs that are reported to police.
