Eltham Town & Avery Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

PMP/90923/24 – DRUG CRIME STRONGBOW CRESCENT Issued 22 January 2026 |
The team are looking to identify the cause of ASB and drug crime in the local area. They will be looking into warrants and closures were necessary to enable a reduction in ASB and crime in the community. Actioned 28 May 2026 |

PMP/2696/26 – SHOPLIFTING ON ELTHAM HIGH STREET Issued 22 January 2026 |
Team are working closely with businesses' and stakeholders on the high street to combat shoplifting and violence that accompanies this crime. They are taken on additional training to assist with this. We are looking to identify not only reported crimes but unreported to link crimes together, target PPOs and issue CBOs ensuring all crimes are accounted for. Actioned 28 May 2026 |
