Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Norbury Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at NorburyPark@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Burglary Connect PMP: PMP/26664/25
The team have worked on tackling the Ward Priority for Burglary. When SNT get reports of Burglary we often try to acquire CCTV, provide reassurance visits/patrols to the victim and the local area from where the offence took place, to help gather more intelligence to try to catch the perpetrator and to potentially return the stollen items. We also give out Crime Prevention Advice leaflets to not only the victim, but we post leaflets on the whole road if possible. Often advising on how to keep a persons property and belongings safe and to help stop this happening again. Some ways are through, CCTV, sensor lights, Burglary Alarm, camera doorbells etc. We aim towards specific roads known for Burglaries and attempted Burglaries in the past or that still cause an issue for example, Norbury Hill, Christian Fields, Green Lane, Maryland Road to name few.

Our first priority, which arguably is the most important, remains to tackle violence & VAWG in our ward, which is the most prevalent offence taking place. We have increased our foot patrols across Norbury Park, specifically in the hot spot areas of Green Lane, Norbury Park, & Virginia Road. Offences related to violence has been reported which include domestic assault, Domestic abuse and violence on the street. These numbers including violence involved injury and non-injury. Continued patrols in these areas, with reassurance visits to the most affects residents helps these situations

We have been conducting patrols to gather intelligence related to Speeding. Currently we have speeding operations, aiming towards specific roads that have been known for speeding in the past or that still cause an issue now. We are aware that there are some spots that we prioritize more due to more issues & safety elements, such as Green Lane, Norbury Avenue London road, Beulah Hill to name a few.
