Wealdstone North Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority	Action taken
Violence – Focus on a reduction in violent crime on Wealdstone High Street. Issued 01 April 2026	The specific object of this priority is to target and identify local criminal groups and individuals committing offences in Wealdstone. High Visibility patrols on the High Street in combination with plain clothes proactive patrols to target key offenders. Operation Turkana & Lapetiss which focused on Gang Violence and Drug Dealing - resulted in the arrest of ten individuals, Robbery, Possession of an Offensive Weapon, drug supply and possession. Burglary - Wealdstone North SNT is committed in the reduction in Burglaries including targeting prolific offenders in the local area. This will be achieved through proactive patrols along residential roads. Issued 01 April 2026	Daily patrols of Wealdstone North during the peak offending times. The team are proactively patrolling hotspot areas, providing a high visibility deterrence against offenders. Plain clothes operations are continually being conducted apprehend prolific offenders. Issued 01 April 2026	Officers continue to conduct both plain clothes and high visibility patrols across the ward to target drug dealing.
