Harlesden and Kensal Green is a vibrant area with a rich and diverse community, who support their local police to combat the issues that affect their way of life. The Community Policing Team work together with Harlesden Town Centre Team to address the issues within the town centre area.
Harlesden & Kensal Green Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Violence – Increase patrols in the High Street, from the Jubilee Clock to Crownhill Road location, targeting street drinking and drug use. Issued 16 July 2025 |
We will continue to patrol the area to be as visible as possible. We will work with partners, such as the council to combat breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order. We will work in partnership with Harlesden Town Centre Team to address the concerns of the community and ensure we focus on arresting drug dealers who cause a misery to local residents. We will continue to work closely with the Safer Neighbourhood Panel to understand the needs of our community. Actioned 25 June 2025 |
Knife Crime - Conduct high visibility Robbery patrols in the town centre area. Issued 16 July 2025 |
We will continue to patrol the area to be as visible as possible. We will work with partners, such as the council to combat breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order. We will work in partnership with Harlesden Town Centre Team to address the concerns of the community and ensure we focus on arresting robbery suspects and detect those people who are carrying weapons to threaten and injure. We will continue to work closely with the Safer Neighbourhood Panel to understand the needs of our community. We will conduct targeted overt/covert operations to combat any robbery hotspots. Burglary – Increase the use of joint patrols with the council to target individuals around the Craven Park and Craven Park Road area connected to acquisitive crime. Issued 16 July 2025 |
We will continue to patrol the area to be as visible as possible. We will work with partners, such as the council to combat breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order. We will work in partnership with Harlesden Town Centre Team to address the concerns of the community and ensure we focus on arresting burglary suspects and detect those people who are wanted in connection with burglaries to prevent reoffending. We will continue to work closely with the Safer Neighbourhood Panel to understand the needs of our community. We will conduct targeted overt/covert operations to combat any burglary hotspots.
