Brondesbury Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority 2: Reducing Anti-Social Behaviour and Drug-Related Activity The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) continues to address anti-social behaviour (ASB) and drug-related activity across Chatsworth Road, Mowbray Road (Bishops Lodge Hotel), Aylestone Avenue, Cavendish Road and Christchurch Avenue (Rosedene), Chatsworth Road, Tiverton green through a combination of high-visibility patrols, plain-clothes operations and intelligence-led policing. Officers actively gather information from residents, partner agencies, and patrol activity to identify individuals involved in the use and supply of controlled drugs. This intelligence is used to direct enforcement activity, disrupt criminal behaviour and improve the safety and quality of life of those living and working within the area. Targeted patrols are regularly conducted in identified hotspot locations to deter offending, increase public confidence, and address concerns raised by the community. Alongside enforcement activity, the SNT continues to adopt a problem-solving and safeguarding approach, recognising that many individuals involved in or affected by substance misuse are vulnerable and require appropriate support. Priority 1: Violence The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) has continued to prioritise the reduction of violence across the ward through proactive high-visibility patrols, community engagement, intelligence-led policing, and close partnership working with key agencies. Officers have provided reassurance to residents, identified vulnerable individuals and shared relevant information with partner organisations to support the prevention and detection of violent crime. Patrols have focused on areas identified through crime trends and community concerns, helping to deter offending and improve public confidence. Priority 3: Burglary Reducing burglary remains a key priority for the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), with particular focus on The Avenue, Aylestone Avenue, Christchurch Avenue and Brondesbury Park. Each reported incident is reviewed to identify potential suspects, establish crime patterns and detect emerging trends, enabling resources to be directed effectively and preventative measures to be implemented promptly. Supporting victims remains at the heart of the SNT's response. Officers carry out reassurance visits, provide crime prevention advice and work closely with investigating departments to maximise opportunities for evidence gathering and achieve positive investigative outcomes. The team also continues to encourage residents to remain vigilant, secure their properties and report suspicious behaviour, helping to strengthen community resilience and prevent further offences.
