Seven Sisters Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at SevenSisters@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Violence Related Priority - Concerns were raised by the community about Robbery and theft snatch offences at Seven Sisters Underground Station and the surrounding area. In response to this officers will perform a number of targeted patrols over the next three months, specifically but not exclusively at the Underground Station and High Road where the concentration of offences have occurred.

Issued 03 July 2025

A number of proactive operations have already been completed by the ward team including a knife arch and passive drugs dog operation within Seven Sisters underground Station resulting in a number of detections for drugs offences and arrests of wanted offenders and of those of interest to immigration authorities. Live Facial Recognition (LFR) Cameras have been employed on Tottenham High Road again producing a significant number of arrests for various offences.
High visibility patrols will continue at the location to ensure a visible presence and reassure the public. The ward team will continue to find innovative ways to tackle this problem over the coming months.
We always ask the public to report any incidents or concerns and remember to "Look up, Look out", keep your phone out of sight and be vigilant of your surroundings when exiting the tube station.

ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) - Local resident have reported ongoing anti-social behaviour in Brunswick Car Park. The issues highlighted relate to drug dealing and associated noise nuisance into the early hours of the morning.

Issued 03 July 2025

In order to reduce drug dealing and anti-social behaviour within the car park, the ward team have identified key times when offences have been reported. Patrols have been increased during these periods to maximise police presence. A number of stop and searches have been carried out with drugs being located and either arrests made or out of court disposal options utilised. Work continues in partnership with Haringey council to identify key individuals and premises linked to the noise nuisance. Once identified we will issue Community Protection Warnings (CPW) and Community Protection Notices (CPN) to prevent unreasonable behaviour that negatively impacts the quality of life of our local community.
We encourage residents to continue to report incidents to police so the intelligence picture can be continually updated.

Actioned 14 August 2025

VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) - At the recent ward panel meeting, the team received reports of women being followed and harassed in and around the area of Vartry Road N15 making them feel uncomfortable walking through the area.

Issued 03 July 2025

Officers have completed research to establish details of any recent reported incidents. Heightened patrols have taken place at targeted times to increase visibility and reassure the community. In addition, partners have been engaged to ensure shrubbery is maintained in Paignton Park to increase visibility. Officers will continue to find innovative ways to tackle this problem over the following months to ensure no reoccurrence, but we ask the public to report any similar incidents, no matter how small they may seem. If any community members would also like to be part of a walk-along patrol, please get in touch via this platform.
