We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.
Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.
This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.
Mayfield Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

High motor vehicle crime rates where vehicles are broken into for valuables left in vehicle or vehicles being stolen by organised crime groups. Issued 17 July 2025 |
Crime prevention advice to be given during community meetings (i.e. cuppa with a copper) as well as door-2-door whilst on foot patrol in these areas. Actioned 17 October 2025 |

1. Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) MET priority - To reduce crime and the fear of crime on Mayfield Ward and to increase public confidence. Issued 17 July 2025 |
Mayfield SNT conduct regular Street Briefings which are an opportunity for local residents to raise concerns directly with their local neighbourhood officers. High Visibility Patrols have been increased across Mayfield Ward, especially in open spaces and crime hotspot areas. Walk & Talks with local officers will be advertised soon. These are an opportunity for women and girls to walk with local officers on Mayfield Ward and highlight any areas/roads where they feel unsafe and discuss solutions. Actioned 17 October 2025 |

Patrols of South Park and the surrounding roads to tackle increased issues of drug related activities and ASB. Issued 17 July 2025 |
