St Andrew's

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

We regularly speak to local residents to establish what issues they may be experiencing in the area. Violence Related Priority

Reduce violence against women and girls by arranging pop up stands with crime prevention advice and personal protection handouts. HVP around areas pointed out to us that women feel unsafe.

Identifying hotspots around the ward. Advertising walk and talk program encouraging women to come forward and speak to police about areas they feel unsafe. Conducting stalls giving out crime prevention gadgets i.e. panic alarms, purse chains.

Motor Vehicle Crime

High Street - Traffic offences in and arouind the High Street.

Monitoring and targetting all traffic offences in and around the High Street involving EV Bikes/scooters, cars parked on the pavements, no seatbelts and the use of mobile phones whilst driving.

Town Centre Car Park Crime

Proactive patrols at the car parks in and around the High Street.

High visiblity patrols in the High Street and car parks around the town centre monitoring and targetting the offences of theft of and theft from motor vehicles.
