South Bermondsey Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Concerns were raised by the community about drug using and dealing on the South Bermondsey Ward. Issued 30 December 2025 |
SNT officers will perform a number of targeted patrols over the next months, specifically but not exclusively to those areas where more detailed issues have been highlighted. We will research intelligence and target offenders and those persons and premises coming to notice for drugs offences and drug related crime. Actioned 24 February 2026 |

Concerns were raised by the community about Theft Offences on the Ward. Issued 30 December 2025 |
SNT officers are patrolling hotspot areas, working in partnership with agencies to reduce thefts on the ward. The team has taken the lead on shoplifting investigations on the ward and targeting offenders and repeat offenders. Actioned 23 February 2026 |

South Bermondsey SNT will research problem areas and be targeting patrols over the next several months to tackle these issues and deal accordingly. Actioned 27 February 2026 |
