Officers conducting foot patrols |

Right Place, Right Time Arsenal and Highbury SNT Officers conducted reassurance patrols at the Harvest Estate talking to members of the public and doing MET Engage inside one of the tower blocks which was Lillingston House.
As officers engaged with members of the public on the 15th Floor, we could hear someone shouting ''GET ME OUT OF HERE!!, HEYY!! LET ME OUTT!!!'' Officers tried to figure out where the shouting was coming from and all of a sudden we could hear banging coming from the lift. We realised that there was a person in the lift and confirmed that he was stuck there for quite some time and needed to get out right away.
Myself and my colleague reassured him that everything will be okay and we will call the fire brigade immediately. I've gone on the main channel and asked for LFB on the hurry explaining the situation to MET CONTROL while running down to the bottom of the tower block from the 15th floor. Members of the public started gathering and witnessing the lift does not work and officers told everyone to stay away from the lift awaiting the fire brigade to arrive we can hear the person getting very angry and officers calmly reassured him that the fire brigade are on their way and officers are here.
In the end, my colleague confirmed to me the good news that there was a engineer there and helped open the lifts before LFB could attend. MET CONTROL was updated and the member of the public was safely rescued without any sort of health problems and also there was another person there which made it a total of 2 individuals stuck.
Officers were at the right place at the right time to help and flag up that there was someone stuck in the lift and the member of the public was really thankful towards us outside the tower block. | ||
