Dear Hillingdon Residents,
We would like to invite you to become part of our Community Expert Panel. By volunteering, you will have the opportunity to assist your local Safer Neighbourhood Team by sharing your knowledge and expertise on issues that affect our community. Your insights could help us better understand emerging challenges, identify vulnerabilities, and develop practical crime prevention advice for residents. What is required? Membership of the panel is straightforward. We simply ask that you remain in contact with the police and are willing to provide your professional or specialist opinion on matters relating to your area of expertise when required. As the purpose of the panel is to draw upon specialist knowledge, we are looking for individuals who are confident and experienced in their chosen field. The panel aims to harness the unique knowledge and experience that specialists can bring, helping your Safer Neighbourhood Team deliver more informed, effective, and targeted advice and action. Areas of expertise we would particularly welcome include: However, these are only examples. We welcome interest from anyone who believes their profession, experience, skills, or even long-standing hobby could contribute to the panel. A diverse range of perspectives will help us better understand community concerns and identify effective crime prevention opportunities. How will the panel work? From time to time, we will present crime trends, community concerns, and crime prevention challenges to the panel. Members will be invited to share their views, recommendations, and expertise on how offences could be prevented and what advice could be provided to local residents. This collaborative approach will help us develop practical, informed solutions and strengthen our ability to support the community. If you have any questions or would like to join the Community Expert Panel, please reply to this message. We look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards,
