PARKHILL SCHOOL SUMMER FETE |

Community Engagement at Parkhill Primary Summer Fete ☀️👮♀️ On Saturday 20th June 2026, PCSO Naz from Fairlop Ward had the pleasure of attending the Summer Fete at Parkhill Primary School, Lords Avenue, Ilford. It was a fantastic day engaging with over 200 members of the community, including parents, teachers, and children. I provided crime prevention advice, shared safety leaflets, and spoke to families about staying safe on the streets, as well as how and when to contact the police. I also introduced the Met Engage App and had important conversations around scams, fraud, and anti-social behaviour (ASB) to help raise awareness and keep our community informed. It was great to take part in activities with the children, visit the various stalls, and answer lots of questions—especially about my uniform and equipment! Many children were excited to try on my police hat and vest, and showed real interest in policing. A big thank you to Deputy Safeguarding Lead Mr Sohail and Headteacher Mrs Teague for the warm welcome. They were very pleased to see police presence at the event and the positive impact it had. Most importantly, it was wonderful to see children feeling comfortable, safe, and confident in approaching the police. Building trust and strengthening relationships with the community is what neighbourhood policing is all about. I’m especially pleased to be invited back again next year! Great weather, great people, and a great day all round 🌟 #CommunityPolicing #FairlopWard #Engagement #SaferCommunities #MetPolice #TrustAndConfidence
