Evening all. Haven't done one of these in a while and they are always well received. (My Sgt comments on all the thumbs up I get from them, and occasionally allows me access to the “good biscuits”). We were on foot patrol today which was nice, although my knees are proclaiming that they are not happy. Myself and PCSO Paula were in town centre, stopping anyone who wants to steal the yum-yums from Greggs among other things. The shops love seeing us around as the ner-do-wells see us and do comedy U-turns before starting their pilfering. One person, when the van was there walked into a certain unnamed shop, picked up a box of treats and moved to walk out. Yum-yums denied. She sheepishly turned around and shuffled to the till to pay for the goodies. How annoying of us. Making her pay for items. Down with that sort of thing.
First half of the shift PCSO Tracy and PCSO Maria were on foot patrol conducting Reassurance visits around Ravensbury and St Helier ward, just so that you are aware the has been a number of vehicle broken into and Blue badges stolen, please make sure you lock your cars and don't leave anything on show.
Reassurance visits followed, helping our vulnerable residents. Crime prevention advice offered and all is good once again in the world. In other news, our sister team sorted out a dispute where two residents were being very anti-social in a store. Adults spoken to, and all sorted, without the need for cuffs. (Basically because no crime had been committed. The courts are generally after an actual crime when we send scoundrels to their doors). As always, here is your chance to tell us things and the survey is included because the skipper tells me to. (Please fill it out so that I can show him more great figures, as I have my eye on the last chocolate hobnob.)
Hope you've had a lovely day today and you haven't needed us!
The Team
