Joint Operation |

|
The Metropolitan Police today can confirm the successful completion of a joint enforcement operation carried out in partnership with Hackney Enforcement Officers, Licensing, Immigration Enforcement officers, Trading Standards and Food Standards teams.
The coordinated operation took place across a number of premises on Blackstock road and the surrounding area, focusing on ensuring compliance with immigration regulations, licensing conditions, and food safety standards. The action forms part of The Met Police ongoing commitment to delivering more trust, less crime and high standards.
A number of inspections were conducted, and appropriate enforcement action was taken where breaches were identified. One location was searched where a large quantity of illegal tobacco products and 54.5kg of contraband shisha were seized, totalling £26,000, which breached trading standards. Further investigations and follow-up action may be carried out as required.
The Met Police would like to thank all partner agencies involved for their cooperation and professionalism during the operation. Joint working of this kind is essential to tackling non-compliance and ensuring a fair and safe environment for residents, workers, and businesses alike.
Members of the public are encouraged to report concerns relating to licensing, food safety, or illegal activity through the Met Police usual reporting channels.
