Vehicle seized and Uninsured driver taken off the road

On Thursday 29th January, officers from the Chelsfield Safer Neighbourhood Team were on patrol in a marked police vehicle in Charterhouse Road when they stopped a grey Vauxhall Astra estate.

Police checks confirmed that the driver had no valid insurance.
The vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act, and the driver will receive penalty points on their licence along with a substantial fine.
