Meet the Beat: Columbia Avenue Safety Session

Friday 30th January 2026 – 5pm to 6pm

Officers will be at The Recreational Ground Columbia Avenue, Eastcote between 5pm and 6pm on Friday 30th January 2026, offering crime‑prevention advice to residents and answering any community safety concerns.

We encourage residents to take a few simple steps to help keep their homes, vehicles, and the wider neighbourhood safe:

🏠 Home Security

Ensure doors and windows are securely locked even when you are at home.

Use timer switches for lights if you’re out after dark.

Keep valuables out of view from street‑facing windows.

Consider installing doorbell cameras or motion‑activated lighting.

🚗 Vehicle Safety

Always double‑check that your vehicle is locked.

Remove valuables, bags, and electronic devices from display.

Store car keys away from doors and windows to reduce the risk of key‑scanning theft.

👀 Look Out for Each Other

Report suspicious activity promptly via 101 or online, and use 999 in emergencies.

Join or engage with local neighbourhood watch groups if available.

Keep in touch with vulnerable neighbours and encourage them to follow simple security steps.
