Four males arrested in Portland Avenue |
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding burglary, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.
On the 15th January at 03:20 hours four males in a grey FORD EXPLORER made off from Police in Malden road. The vehicle was then seen parked up on a driveway in Portland Avenue with the males inside. One of the males had been seen to get out of the vehicle walking to a nearby skip and discarding something. Police searched the males who were in possession of clothing used to commit crime and a crowbar was found discarded in the skip. All four males who were known to Police were then arrested for going equipped to commit crime. A good result by the officers and subsequently no burglary related crimes were committed that night. While we will continue to pursue burglars in the area, there are steps you can do to help keep your property safe. Make sure that you:
