Positive Partnership Action - Poplar Court Estate

Good Morning Residents,

This week, officers from the Wimbledon Park Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted plain clothes patrols in the area and attended a property on Poplar Court Estate following ongoing reports of drug-related anti-social behaviour.

The main tenant is currently serving a custodial sentence. On attendance, the property was found to be occupied by individuals who were not named on the tenancy agreement. They were advised that the address was being reclaimed by the Housing Team and that remaining there could lead to police action. All individuals left without incident.

Working in partnership with the housing team, the property has now been secured, preventing further unauthorised access and bringing long-standing drug-related issues at the address and in the surrounding area to an end. Officers received positive feedback from local residents following the action taken.

Wimbledon Park SNT will continue to work with partners and the local community to address concerns and keep the area safe.
