Firstly, happy new year to you all.

Can I please ask you share the below on any street whatsapp groups or social media groups.

We are seeing an increase in burglaries where offenders are targeting properties with insecure side gates, allowing easy access to the rear of homes. Offenders are also focusing on houses that are left in darkness, indicating that no one is home.

To help protect your property:

Ensure all side gates are locked with a sturdy padlock or bolt.

Consider installing motion‑activated lighting around side and rear access points.

Use timers for indoor lights when you are out to give the appearance of occupancy.

Report any suspicious activity immediately.
