Good Afternoon Resident
Firstly, the team would like to wish you all a happy new year, we hope you all had a fantastic festive period and enjoyed some time off with family & friends.
For anyone that is new to MET engage, Welcome. This is a great platform for us to keep you updated with what the team are doing as well as providing you an opportunity to speak with us directly. The team is made up of 1 sergeant, 2 PC’s and 1 PCSO, we have also now been allocated 2 Schools officers who will be assisting around the schools within the Beckenham area.
We work very closely with the Beckenham Town and Copers Cope SNT, Kelsey and Eden Park SNT and Shortlands and Park Langley SNT. Our teams focus on low level crimes and anti-social behaviour.
Ward Priorities
Each ward has ward priorities that are set by the residents in a quarterly meeting, these will cover what the residents would like us to focus on. All are welcome to this meeting, if anyone would like to attend, please do let us know and we can give you the details. Over the next 3 months the ward priorities in which the team will be focusing on include:
Speeding – This will be completed by arranging operations to detect speeding vehicles across the ward. We have some of these planned which will be occurring over the coming weeks. Youth Engagement – We are aiming to achieve this by working alongside the school’s officers and youth groups to interact with the young residents of Clock House, to build trust and confidence. Crime Prevention – This will be done by conducting environmental audits and providing crime prevention advice regarding burglaries and vehicle crime reduction.
Events
The team have been planning some engagement events that will be happening over this year with many more to come. These will be posted in our weekly emails; all are welcome to attend!
Survey
Your voice matters to us! In line with the new year and we would like to start it off by inviting you to take part in our Local Community Matters Survey to share feedback, experiences and perspectives on local policing. Your responses will help us better understand community needs and improve our services. We encourage all members of our community to participate. Honest feedback, both positive and negative is essential to building trust, transparency, and effective public safety. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Please find the survey link below.
Take the survey here --> https://survey.metengage.co.uk/Survey/GUID/c7fc4d85-6f47-4ba2-900c-cad44cd3244d
