RE: Parking SCAM alert - Swaby Road SW18

On WEDNESDAY 17/12/25 on SWABY ROAD SW18 victim finished shopping in Earlsfield was about to drive away when a man knocked on his window and said that he would be fined by the council as his car wheel was fractionally outside the parking line, unless he went to the parking ticket machine and paid 45p.

Victim questioned the male but did as he recommended, inserted his card but failed to make the payment and his card had disappeared.

The man went off to fix the machine. Victim felt that something was wrong and cancelled his card.  Within minutes victim received notifications from his bank that someone had tried to withdraw money from my account without success.

Suspect description: 

Black male, 45 to 55 years of age, 5' 10" tall wearing black clothes, black baseball cap, facial hair partly grey.

If anyone sees any suspicious behaviour please report it to the police, if something is happening at the time of reporting it then call 999. If an incident has already occurred and there is a time lapse then dial 101.
