Local Priorities Dangerous driving / speeding Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding dangerous driving and speeding, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

On Saturday 15th November Safer Neighbourhood Teams from Bow East, Bow West and Bromley North conducted a joint operation to target users of e-scooters and bikes being ridden not in accordance along the Roman Road E3 area. Extra officers were also present to help reduce issues associated with speeding vehicles which is also a concern amongst residents in the area. Due to the successful nature of the operation and it being well received by the local community, Safer Neighbourhood teams from Bow are looking to resource further operations in the locality.

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.
