As the evenings are drawing in earlier and darker and also running up to Christmas there's a few points id like to share with you all-
Secure windows and doors all PVC make sure you lift handle and lock with key as this engages the 5 lever mechanism/deadbolts.
BURGLARY PREVENTION
Install security devices like CCTV/ RING DOOR BELL CAMERAS.
Enhance exterior lighting -motion sensor and illuminate your garden to eliminate dark spots
Maintain Hedges and use tall prickly or thorny plants.
Lock away all garden tools/ladders.
Use timer switches for lights/tv/radio
Be mindful of valuables/important documents lock them away in a safe and out of plain sight,
Never hid spare keys under mat leave with a trusted neighbour/friend if away ask a neighbour/friend to collect mail
Avoid posting your away on holiday on social media
join a local neighbourhood watch
PARCEL THEFT PREVENTION
Choose alternative delivery locations -avoids parcels being left on doorstop
have packages delivered to workplace /local post office/amazon/secure locker
arrange trusted neighbour to take parcel in
Track your deliveries
any valuable items select signature required delivery option
Provide specific delivery instructions
install cameras/video door bell

 While we will continue to pursue burglars in the area, there are steps you can do to help keep your property safe. Make sure that you: Double lock your door every time you leave the house If you can, move garden furniture or bins away from windows so that thieves cannot use them to gain access. Use laminated glass or security film on ground floor and accessible windows. Use a sash stop if you have sash windows to prevent people opening them enough to climb through. If your windows open outwards, use a key operated lock – check these are locked before leaving the house. Make sure all valuables are out of sight. Keep handbags and keys away from letterboxes or cat flaps. In the evening shut the curtains and leave lights on. Set your burglar alarm Lock your shed or garage Mark, register or record your valuables.
