Report of Someone in The Thames

A 999 call came out this afternoon regarding the possibility of a person in trouble in The Thames.

Chelsea SNT Officers raced to the location by Cremorne Gardens. The tide was still coming in quickly so officers proceeded to Imperial Wharf pier to search further down. 

Officers were supported by a Marine Unit which had quickly come up river from Wapping, the RNLI and a Police Helicopter.

A search was completed where no casualty was spotted. 

Thank you to the member of the public who raised the alarm. On this occasion there was no one in the water but we always take these reports seriously.

If you see someone in the water. DO NOT GO IN. You will more than likely end up a casualty yourself. Ring 999 and try to keep eyes on the person.
