Early Morning Drugs Warrant Executed on Alberta Street This morning, officers from the Newington, North Walworth, Faraday, North Bermondsey & Rotherhithe Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a drugs warrant at a residential property on Alberta Street, following concerns raised by local residents. The warrant was obtained after a number of weeks of preparation, including court approval and coordination with specialist units. Officers were supported by colleagues from the Territorial Support Group (TSG), Dog Support Unit, Licensing Team and the Drugs Focus Desk. Two individuals: a male and a female were arrested at the scene. They are currently in custody at a local police station awaiting interview. The arrests were made on suspicion of: A number of items were seized and secured as part of the investigation. Sergeant James Southgate of the North Walworth & Faraday Neighbourhood Team said: “This action is a direct result of community intelligence and demonstrates our commitment to tackling drug-related crime and keeping our neighbourhoods safe.
