Good morning, On the 3rd of September, we conducted our 10 weekly ward panel meeting, this meeting is used by members of the ward panel (local residents) to discuss how our priorities went and what our focus should be for the next 10 weeks. Our previous priorities Shoplifting - We had noticed a near 50% reduction in reports of shoplifting, having 50 reports in the 10 week period of 23/04/2025-25/06/2025 to 28 in the period 26/06/2025-03/09/2025 over this entire period we had 18 detections this is when we know who the suspect is Motor vehicle crime - While SNT are not the investigators around this matter when we notice patterns we publicise when we notice trends and offer crime prevention advice to potential victims. ASB around the high street - This consisted of patrols on the high street both in uniform and plain clothes to deter anti social behaviour and drug use and street drinking. Our priorities for this next 10 week period Speeding – Residents have reported certain roads being used as racing tracks, if you feel that this is your road don’t hesitate to contact us through Met engage. The Beckenham teams have 3 officers trained in the use of speed detection devices and have planned operations covering all 4 of Beckenham’s wards.Burglary – As we head into the longer nights the risk of Burglary goes up, as with motor vehicle crime we cannot fully prepare anyone for the prospect that they will be a victim of this crime we can offer prevention advice and point out trends. We have made it a priority to offer any victim of Residential Burglary a visit. A continuation of ASB around the high street. If you wish to join the ward panel please contact us and we will put you in touch with the chairman of the panel. |
