Engagement Event regarding Front Counters Project

Good morning,

Yesterday evening, A/BCU Commander D/C/Suprt Marco Bardetti and I had the opportunity to meet with several local community groups to discuss the ongoing Front Counters Project. This initiative involves reviewing the use of front counters across the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), with a view to potentially closing some locations.

The purpose of the engagement was to hear directly from community representatives about their concerns, ideas, and expectations. We had open and constructive conversations about how these changes might affect access to policing services, and importantly, how we can work together to minimise any negative impact.

I want to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion. Your feedback is invaluable and will play a key role in shaping our approach moving forward. We are committed to ensuring that any decisions made are informed by the voices of the communities we serve.
