EFFINGHAM ROAD - KEYLESS CAR THEFT

Unfortunately I have to report an incident whereby suspects have allegedly used a device to attempt keyless car theft, in particular in the Effingham Road area.

Please find below some crime prevention advice relating to car theft:

Use a loud alarm and steering wheel lock if you can

Use a signal-blocking pouch to reduce the risk of keys being activated

Consider installing a dash-cam

Park in a secure, well-lit location where possible

Consider installing CCTV or a Ring Doorbell-type device on your property if you can.

Please inform the police of any suspicious activity surrounding vehicles.
