We’re proud to share the success of Operation SORBIE, a proactive initiative focused on tackling Robberies and Anti-Social Behaviour.

SNT Officers from EASTBURY, GASCOIGNE and LONGBRIDGE wards joined forces to conduct high-visibility patrols and community engagement in key locations including JOHN BURNS DRIVE, RIPPLE ROAD, KIER HARDIE WAY, UPNEY LANE, CASTLE GREEN PARK and various of other places around the wards.

As a result of this operation:

2 pieces of actionable intelligence were gathered to support ongoing investigations.

10 Stop and searches. A positive stop and search resulted common resolution issued for possession of drugs.

Officers provided visible reassurance to deter Anti-Social Behaviour and Robberies

Several individuals were engaged, and anti-social behaviour hotspots were proactively addressed.

Community feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with residents and businesses expressing their appreciation for the visible police presence and swift response to concerns.

Operation SORBIE highlights our commitment to working with the public to create safer spaces for everyone.
