You Said! We Did! Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Concern Update

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Emergency response and patrol team conducted a routine patrols at the Andover Estates N7 and they have witnessed three males exchanging items among each other. Officers were involved in a foot chase and they have caught two juveniles. Both suspects were witnessed by officers discarding a bundle of 47 wraps of class A drugs. Later both suspects were taken into custody which caused some delays due to lack of having appropriate adults, after officers found further 35 wraps of class A drugs which were secretly hidden on one of the males. Since receiving numerous complaints in relation to drugs activities taking place at ANDOVER ESTATES N7, neighbourhood policing team officers are actively patrolling the area and surroundings to ensure drug use and dealings are tackled constructively.
