OP SORBIE Tackling Robberies and ASB

We’re proud to share the success of Operation SORBIE, a proactive initiative focused on tackling Robberies and Anti-Social Behaviour.

SNT Officers from GASCOIGNE, EASTBURY and LONGBRIDGE wards joined forces to conduct high-visibility patrols and community engagement in key locations including ABBEY ROAD, MIZZEN STREET, ST ANNS, GASCOIGNE ROAD, DOVEHOUSE MEAD, WHEELERS CROSS.

As a result of this operation:

2 pieces of actionable intelligence were gathered to support ongoing investigations.

10 Stop and searches. A positive stop and search resulted common resolution issued for possession of drugs.

Officers provided visible reassurance to deter Anti-Social Behaviour and Robberies

Several individuals were engaged, and anti-social behaviour hotspots were proactively addressed.

Community feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with residents and businesses expressing their appreciation for the visible police presence and swift response to concerns.

Operation SORBIE highlights our commitment to working with the public to create safer spaces for everyone.
