You may have noticed more officers in your neighbourhood recently. These hi-vis ward patrols are part of our ongoing commitment to being more visible, more accessible, and more connected to the communities we serve.

Over the coming weeks, our local officers will be walking the beat, visiting streets, parks, and public spaces across the ward. The aim is simple:

  • Reassurance – to let you know we’re here and actively working to keep our neighbourhoods safe.
  • Prevention – to deter crime and antisocial behaviour through a visible presence.
  • Engagement – to speak directly with residents, hear your concerns, and share useful information.
  • Introducing the New Met Engage Platform

During these patrols, officers will also be telling residents about our new online platform — a simple, secure way to connect with your local policing team, receive important updates, and share intelligence that helps us tackle crime together.

    Through the platform you can:

  • Get alerts about local incidents, crime prevention advice, and events.
  • Raise concerns directly to your ward team to help shape local policing
  • Have your say through polls and surveys to support the forming of policing priorities in your area.
  • We know that fighting crime is not just about enforcement — it’s about partnership. By combining your local knowledge with our policing expertise, we can address issues faster and more effectively.

    How to Get Involved

When you see our Hi-Vis Ward Patrols out and about, please stop and say hello. Ask about the new platform and how you can sign up. The more residents we reach, the stronger our community becomes.

Together, we can make our streets safer and our community stronger.
