Crimes identified for NHW awareness in JULY: • 6 Theft from motor vehicles. • 3 Theft of motor vehicles. • 1 Theft of cycle. • 2 Burglary.
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE Three offences have involved windows of vehicles being smashed and items taken from the vehicle. Two offences involving vehicle parts being stolen (parking sensors and control unit). One instance of an unknown person sleeping in an unlocked vehicle. Offences have occurred in East Sheen Avenue, Sheen Lane, Vernon Road, Richmond Park Road and Hertford Avenue. Reminder to ensure vehicles are secure and no possessions left on display. Prevent theft from a vehicle | Crime Prevention | Metropolitan Police THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE All thefts have been reported as keyless. Kia and Hyundai vehicles stolen. Offences have occurred in St Leonards Road, East Sheen Avenue and South Worple Way. Protect your bike from theft | Metropolitan Police Burglary Two incidents of burglary occurred in July. One incident involved masked persons breaking into a property making threats and demanding drugs. This was an apparent case of mistaken identity. The burglars left shortly afterwards. No persons were injured. One instance of entry being forced through a front door with a mobile phone stolen. Incidents occurred in Little St Leonards and Upper Richmond Road West.
