Calling all community crusaders ...

At a time of worrying levels of violent crime, muggings, moped enabled crime, and knife crime, community-police relations are crucial. The Met works closely with local communities at a ward level across London through local Police Ward Panels.

These meetings are chaired by a member of the local community and attended by various residents, members of partner agencies and businesses across the ward. They occur every three months and see policing priorities set by the panel.  Kings Cross chair - Steve Cowan is looking to step down, after overseeing the panel for a long time. We are very grateful for his time and effort and he will be missed.

The job of the chair is to work with the police to coordinate the meetings - If you think you have what it takes to lead the community and the local policing team, or would just like to be part of the panel, then please contact us.

The next panel meeting is set for 10th November and is usually held online.

Please share the message with any residents who are not yet part of Met Engage.
