Working in Partnership with Immigration |
||
Dear Resident,
At ward panel meetings, one of the biggest concerns raised are delivery riders (amongst others) using the roads in a dangerous manner. This includes contravening traffic signals, riding on pavements, using illegal high powered bikes, taking up pathways while they are waiting for job allocations to name a few.
Over the last two days, we have stopped in excess of 80 riders across both Selhurst and Woodside wards with our colleagues from immigration. A number of these riders have received tickets and had their vehicles seized. Immigration have also arrested and detained a number of offenders - some of which are now detained for deportation.
Your concerns are being listened to and we will continue to work on this ward priority over the summer months. Our message is clear - commit road traffic offences on Selhurst and Woodside, expect to be dealt with robustly.
Please continue to feed us information and intelligence. This may be your someone drug dealing or suspicious activity happening at a particular address in your road. It may seem like nothing, but it could be the final piece of the jigsaw enabling us to perhaps secure a warrant or take action. You can contact us via: Call 101 (or 999 in an emergency) A police station front office.
Thank you, keep safe.
