Front Counters Information

Information regarding Front Counters at Police Stations: 

 

  • The Met's financial position means we’re having to make tough choices, including shrinking our workforce by c.1700 people. These are not decisions we have taken lightly.
  • We can no longer afford to have at least one 24/7 Front Counter in every borough.
  • Currently there are 37 Front Counters in operation across the Met, of which 32 are 24/7, five operate reduced hours with one Front Counter resourced by volunteers.
  • On our Borough, KENSINGTON Station on Earls Court Road will no longer be 24 hours. The opening hours will be Monday-Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm.

    Here at Chelsea, we want to be still available to be contacted whenever possible.

  • At our Chelsea Office you always have access to Officers when we are on duty. We have a buzzer on our office door under St John’s Church.
  • The Chelsea Enquiry Line number is 0207 161 8984 which is manned 11:00am to 1:00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • The Chelsea mobile phone number is 07917 939 888
  • In an emergency always dial 999. For non-emergency reporting dial 101or report online. The enquiry line is not a crime reporting line.
