🚨 Courier Fraud Scams

Dear Resident,

🚨Please be aware of the following scam, Courier fraud is when victims receive a phone call from a criminal who is pretending to be a police officer or bank official. 📞 Don’t assume a phone call is authentic just because someone knows your name and address.

Your bank or the police will never ring you to tell you they are coming to your home to pick up money or your card. Never hand these over to anyone who comes to collect it.

Need to check if the call is genuine? Contact the organisation directly using contact details you know are correct, such as those on a bank statement, the back of your card, or by calling 159 for your bank

To report a scam to the Metropolitan Police, contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or online at Action Fraud. Action Fraud is the UK's national reporting center for fraud and cybercrime. If you believe a crime is in progress or a suspect is present, call 101.
