Street Safety - Stay Aware, Stay Safe

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Whether you're walking to work, school, or out with friends, staying alert and aware of your surroundings can help keep you safe on the streets. Avoid distractions like using your mobile phone or wearing both headphones while walking. Stick to well-lit, busy routes - especially at night. Keep your valuables secure and out of sight, and avoid displaying cash or expensive items in public. If you ever feel unsafe or notice suspicious behaviour, move to a safe place and contact police. A few simple steps can make a big difference in staying safe while out and about.
