Update from Tool Marking Event 17/07/2025

Please find below a message from Inspector Connolly in regards to the Tool Marking Event held at B&Q Roneo Corner on the 17th July 2025.

“Todays event at B&Q Roneo corner demonstrates how passionate the MPS Havering are for forensic tool marking and protecting the residents of Havering from tool theft and theft from motor vehicles. The event was supported by Havering Local Authority who funded some kits for residents along with partners from the event. I am proud to say the event was a success with over 100 forensic kits registered for residents. That’s over 5000 tools marked in Havering for trades which gives us a fighting chance to secure prosecutions against a minority of offenders who commit this sort of crime. My safer neighbourhood teams are passionate about supporting residents with concerns raised to me. Across Havering we are hoping to hold similar events in the future for residents. A big thank you to everyone involved in supporting the event today!”
