Local Priorities Violence against women and girls Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Over the coming days, officers from your local policing team will be carrying out visible patrols across the area as part of our ongoing work to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

We know that everyone has the right to feel safe β€” whether walking home, commuting, socialising, or simply going about everyday life. Our officers will be out engaging with the public, offering reassurance, and taking action where necessary to deter and disrupt unwanted behaviours.

πŸ‘‰ We’re here to:
β€’ Promote safety in public spaces
β€’ Challenge inappropriate or threatening conduct β€’ Listen to concerns and build trust with the community

If you see our officers out and about, please feel free to stop and speak with them β€” whether it’s to raise a concern, ask for advice, or just say hello. πŸ‘‹

Together, we can create a safer environment for everyone.
