Welcome to MET Engage from South Acton SNT |
||
Hello South Acton residents,
We hope you’re keeping well and enjoying the summer months. We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce (or reintroduce!) ourselves to you. We are your dedicated Safer Neighbourhood Team – PC Naja, PC Cooper, and PCSO Herne.
We’re committed to tackling the issues that matter most to you. Whether it’s anti-social behaviour, drug crime, or vehicle theft, we are here to listen, take action, and provide reassurance across South Acton.
Ongoing Drug Investigations Thanks to valuable information provided by members of the public, officers from the SNT recently launched an investigation into suspicious activity at a residential property in the ward. Upon executing a warrant, officers discovered a male using the property to stash illegal drugs, with evidence suggesting that a drug operation was being run from the premises.
The investigation is ongoing, but positive action has been taken in the arrest of the male inside of the property, and we will continue to pursue those responsible. As part of the search, officers also removed a number of offensive weapons including knives from the property. This swift action helps ensure that dangerous items do not pose a risk to our community. Vehicle Recoveries In the past week, your officers have also made progress tackling vehicle-related crime: Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Avenue Road A vehicle stolen from Croydon was located by officers in Avenue Road, South Acton. After confirming it was lost/stolen, it has now been returned to the rightful owners via the insurance company.
Hotwired Moped Seized – South Acton Park A suspicious moped, believed to have been involved in criminality, was recovered from South Acton Park. The vehicle was found to be hotwired and has since been taken to the police pound for further investigation. We are here for you Your local SNT remains fully committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents of South Acton. We rely on your support and information to act quickly and effectively whether it’s concerns about suspicious activity, drug use, or anti-social behaviour. Together, we can continue to make our community safer. You can reach us through the Metropolitan Police website, by calling 101, or by speaking to us directly when you see us on patrol. In an emergency, always dial 999.
Stay safe and take care, South Acton Safer Neighbourhood Team | ||
