Car recovered after being stolen and abandoned

A Silver FORD was recently reported as abandoned at Macdonald House, Cross Road.

After license plates were checked and the ‘owner’ was contacted, it soon become apparent that the car had fake plates on. After the VIN number was checked, it was shown that the car had been used in a burglary in September 2024.

The car has now been recovered and will be forensically swept, before being reunited with its owner, who has since been contacted.

This is your reminder to report abandoned cars; because not only do they take up precious space (usually in private car parks but once in a while, they can and will be given back to their rightful owners if they were used in the process of crime.)
